Come January 2017, and the pageant fanatics will go crazy to experience the much awaited finale of Miss Universe 2016.The gala coronation of Miss Universe 2016 is slated for 30th January 2017, and at the conclusion of the finale, Pia Wurtzbach of Philippines will crown her successor. Ever since the pageant has gone on board, speculations about its different segments have been rife. The latest one to add on the category is the co-host.
If rumours are to be believed, the third runner-up of Miss Universe 2011 Shamcey Supsup-Lee of Philippines might co-host the gala finale with Steve Harvey. There has been no official announcement by the Miss Universe Organisation or DOT, but the list of considerations includes Shamcey Supsup as per rumours.

Shamcey had previously hosted the web coverage of Miss Universe 2012 and hosted the 65th Miss Universe grand kick-off at the S Maison Mall, Conrad Hotel. Shamcey also led the Miss Universe 2016 sponsors and representatives signing contract at the Makati Shangrila Hotel last November 17. Reports about introducing a Filipina co-host were confirmed earlier by Tourism Secretary Wanda Teo.
Teo said that having a co-host would reduce the chances of a repeat of last year's blunder of announcing the wrong winner. DOT chief also added that the organizers have already chosen Harvey’s co-host, but refused to reveal any further detail.
