As the 2016 Miss Universe pageant has officially kicked off and the welcome party concluded with 12 beautiful contestants in attendance, it was time for the delegates to relax and sit back to enjoy the scenic beauty of the Philippines. Therefore, the contestants started their touring and the first destination of the contestants was Siargao. Siargao is a tear-drop shaped island in the Philippine Sea situated 800 kilometers southeast of Manila in the province of Surigao del Norte.

Siargo is one of the best surfing spots in the world. The delegates reached the island for a one-day ancillary activity ahead of the upcoming coronation in January. The contestants looked really excited to be there, and were welcomed with a traditional dance and by a cheering crowd. The girls were overwhelmed with such a warm welcome and they seem to enjoy every bit of it.
