Miss Universe 2016 is walking on its road to the finale and is slated to be held on 30th January 2017. At the conclusion of the finale, Pia Wurtzbach of Philippines will crown her successor. The contestants of the 65th edition of Miss Universe are gearing up for the finale, and are leaving no stone unturned to mark their niche.

The 2016 edition is happening in Manila, Philippines and the girls are enjoying the scenic beauty of the country. The contestants were divided into groups to give an insight to various features of the country. Recently, the 2016 girls attended the Governor’s Ball gala held on 16th January 2017. Along with the contestants, the reigning Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach also graced the event. The Governor’s Ball was a gala affair that saw prominent personalities grace the red carpet in their finest outfits. The Governor’s Ball is a tradition in Miss Universe in which pageant winners, host countries, sponsors, and many more extend support to the Miss Universe charities.

Amidst all the hustle bustle of the pre pageant activities, the delegates took out time to meet the little sisters of Miss Universe 2016 and also got involved in a candid shoot donning the Miss Universe replica crown. The contestants had a gala time with the Little Sisters and interacted with the kids. It was such a beautiful sight to looks at. The little sisters looked equally pretty all decked up, smiling and ready.

The “Little Sisters” was inaugurated in 1983 when Miss Universe was held in Louis, Missouri, USA. “Little Sisters” is the concept of Miss Universe wherein each of the girls who had a semi-finalist sister, presented her with a flower escorting her to center-stage.
