We all saw the last year’s Miss Universe and how the finale drew a wall between the Philippipnes and Colombia. This year’s representative to Colombia, Andrea Tovar, looked like a positive contender who came with no past grudges. But, a recent video that floored on the internet is stating otherwise.
Miss Colombia Andrea Tovar has attracted some criticism after posting a video that showed her being ungrateful towards the gifts given by the hotel. While, this wasn’t enough, the video also showed her making fun of the Mexican accent. The video recorded Andrea as saying... “and little translucent and hallucinogen oranges. Look at that, It's all orange. And what do you think my dears, I'm speaking like a Mexican ... What are those fattening filths? Look at this."

The video went viral and many considered the behaviour offensive and racist.
One Mexican netizen said: “Please, don’t delete this video, admins, as other pages have this already. Don’t hide the crassness of this so-called ‘Diva.’ She is making fun of sweetness of the Filipinos, and the Mexican accent.”
A Filipino netizen, meanwhile, opined: “Being sweet and kind is indeed a part of genuine Filipino hospitality. Its our way of saying we like you, we adore and admire you. The girl should be thankful instead. As a Filipino I’m very disappointed with her.”
Surprisingly, neither Tovar nor the Miss Universe Organisation has reacted to the video.

In another video, Andrea showed her excitement and admiration for the Philippines and said, “It’s a big opportunity to be here in this amazing country. I am so excited for the pageant! And I want to know your culture, including your food.”
