Yam Kaspers Ashel was adjudged first runner-up and was crowned Miss Universe Israel 2016 at the gala finale of Miss Israel 2016 held on June 6’ 2016. Yam Kaspers succeeds Avigail Alfatov Miss Universe Israel 2016, and will now represent Israel at the Miss Universe 2016 pageant.

Yam is a High School student from Herzliya. Possessing a beautiful pair of blue eyes, Yam Kaspers holds an attractive and charming personality. At the same event, Karin Alia was crowned as the winner of Miss Israel 2016 and will now represent Israel at the Miss World 2016 pageant.
Miss Israel (Malkat Hayofi Israel) is an annual national pageant in Israel that selects representatives of Israel for Miss Universe and Miss World international pageants. Miss Israel commenced in the year 1950. Currently, the winner of Miss Israel is crowned Miss World Israel and goes on to represent Israel at Miss World, while the first runner-up is crowned Miss Universe Israel and goes on to represent Israel at Miss Universe.
