After celebrating a sumptuous 27th birthday in Manila with family and friends, Pia is back on her shoes of Miss Universe duties and responsibilities. Queen P knows how to enjoy every moment, also keeping up with her obligations as the reigning Miss Universe.
Pia Wurtzbach, who is in Philippines Manila, visited the Philippines Office of UNICEF along with the reigning Miss Universe Philippines Maxine Medina. Both the beauties looked elegant as Maxine donned a yellow front slit pencil dress, and Pia kept it graceful in a long green skirt teamed with a white tank top.

The two Pinoy beauties called for Filipinos’ increased awareness. They discussed the grave issue with the experts and also discussed about the efforts that need to be taken to diagnose it. The team UNICEF also celebrated Pia’s belated birthday during the visit.
Pia has always made sure to follow her HIV advocacy in the Philippines . “It is shocking that the Philippines has one of the fastest growing rates of HIV infection in the world. Many of those who get infected are young people. I want to use my voice to help lift up those who are living with HIV and to bring awareness to young people who do not know how to protect themselves against this virus,” Pia said last time she visited the Philippines.
The UNICEF in Philippines is helping in the HIV response for youth by gathering the strategic information, advocating for laws that are responsive to the needs of children and young people, and helping the government, NGOs and youth networks improve service delivery to respond to the crisis.
On 24th September, Pia celebrated her birthday with her family and friends, and along with Miss Universe Philippines 2016 Maxine Medina and Miss Universe 2011 third runner-up, Shamcey Supsup.
