Miss Universe 2016 is just three weeks away from the finale and is slated to be held on 30th January 2017 at Mall of Asia Arena, Manila Philippines. At the conclusion of the finale, Pia Wurtzbach of Philippines will pass on her crown to her successor. The delegates of 2016 Miss Universe have started arriving and it’s good to see the girls all decked up for the 65th Miss Universe pageant.
We have come across various national costumes for this year’s pageant and it is evident that the delegates and the designers are taking the national costumes a step ahead by coming up with modern ideas and experimenting new scope. Here is another national costume that has yet again proved that this year’s pageant is going to be a nerve wracking and a tough one to crack. The national costume we are talking about is Miss Venezuela Mariam Habach's costume. Mariam’s costume is inspired by Yemaya and is designed by renowned designer Nidal Nouaihed.

Yemaya (also known as Yemoja) is the Yorùbá Orisha or Goddess of the living Ocean. Yemaya is considered as the source of all the water bodies, including rivers of western Africa, especially the River Ogun. Yemaya is the abbreviation of Yey Omo Eja, which means "Mother Whose Children are the Fish." So, the designer has used his creative skills and experimented with the designs and concept, moving away from the usual track. The costume looks extremely regal and the detailing in the outfit shows the innovation and effort put behind the creation of the costume.
Mariam Habach is 20 years of age and stands at an astounding height of 6’ 2”. The beauty hails from El Tocuyo Edo Lara. She is hard working and determined to take the crown of the most prestigious beauty pageant in the world with her perseverance and dedication. The beauty is currently pursuing her dream to be a dentist by concentrating on her studies in dentistry. The stunner wants to treat children and bring beautiful smiles on their faces.
