Miss World CEO Julia Morley received the 2016 Variety Humanitarian Award for her outstanding achievements in making the world a better place, especially through the work done by the Miss World Charity 'Beauty with a Purpose'.

Julia received the 2016 Humanitarian Award from the current Presidents of the Variety International Charity at a star studded ceremony held April 30’ 2016 at the Horticultural Hall in Jersey, UK.

The gala ceremony was attended by so many eminent personalities, former and present Miss World beauty queens, and also contestants from England, Wales & Scotland. These celebrities from around the world shared their treasured memories of how Miss World CEO Julia Morley touched their lives, through video presentations, live appearances and recorded messages.

Accepting her award, Julia sated -  “Thank you so much. It means a lot to have the presidents of Variety, the International Children’s Charity alongside me, because they always have been, and we always will be together.Variety has inspired me, my husband, my children, and I can’t imagine life without you all. We’re a big family across the world, and with Beauty with a Purpose and Variety International, we go from strength to strength alongside each other, both doing our own thing, but sharing where we can. This has been an amazing experience tonight. It’s such a dream tonight. We hope that we can all continue the same, God bless you and thank you very much all of you.”

The magical evening was full of emotions as Julia was presented with her lifetime achievements and the lady was in tears.

With an audience packed full of friends, family and well wishers, the show was hosted by the Miss World 2013 Megan Young and Miss World Guyana 2015 Lisa Punch. Both the beauties wowed the audiences with their exquisite hosting skills.

Lisa Punch, Miss World 2015 Talent Award winner payed homage to the lady behind the Miss World pageant, by performing on stage during the awards, alongside several other performers, including Miss England Natasha Hemmings.
