The most awaited Miss World beauty pageant 2016 will feature Katarina Kekovic as the representative from Montenegro among its contestants. It came as wonderful news that the beauty, the 1^st runner up during Miss Montenegro 2015, will compete at this year’s Miss World; while the winner of this year’s Miss Montenegro 2016 will go on to compete for the Miss World 2017 crown.

Katarina Kekovic was placed as the first runner up at the Miss Montenegro 2015 held on 14^th September 2015 at the Hotel Palmon Bay in Igalo. Katarina succeeds Natasa Milosavljevic as Miss World Montenegro. The beauty is 22 years of age and hails from Podgorica, Montenegro. She was expected to represent her country at the Miss Universe 2016 pageant, but due to the new rules of the pageant organisation, she is all set to contend with the Miss World 2016 international delegates on 2^nd December, 2016.

The national pageant of Montenegro has been sending country’s delegates at the Miss World beauty contest since the year 2006. Usually, the winner represents at the Miss  World pageant and the first runner up at the Miss Universe beauty pageant, but due to implications of the new rule by the Miss Universe Organisation that states that no country will be allowed to have more than one representative for the Miss Universe pageant, this time the organisers of the Miss Montenegro have decided to send the last year’s runner up at the Miss World 2016 beauty pageant, while this year’s runner up will represent the country at the awaited Miss Universe 2016 pageant.
