You remember Catriona Gray, right, the beautiful girl who almost everybody rooted for at the Miss World 2016 finals, but she couldn’t win the crown. Some say it was fate while other blame it on politics, but whatever it was it’s all water under the bridge now. The beauty queen has put it all behind and has moved ahead in her life.
But fans still believe that this gorgeous Filipino beauty deserved more than just a runner-up title, she deserved the crown. So does Cory Quirino, former National Director of Miss World Philippines. Cory thinks Catriona should join the Bb Pilipinas 2017 pageant. Cory believes Catriona can be the next Pia Wurtzbach. She could win the Philippines’ 4th Miss Universe crown.
Cory says that Catriona still holds the contract with her company and that she is willing to release her if she decides to join Bb. Pilipinas. “If she asks our permission to join, we can release her,” Quirino said. “She is still under contract with my company CQ Global Quest Inc. and Viva.” “We still have the power to give her freedom,” Cory Quirino added.
Cory also said that if Catriona wants to join the Binibining Pilipinas she has her blessings. Cory Quirino relinquished the Miss World Philippines franchise and Arnold Vegafria is the new national director.
Binibining Pilipinas is calling all the beautiful and qualified Filipinas to submit their applications. The announcement was made on the Official Facebook page of Binibining Pilipinas. The deadline for the submission of application is on February 24th 2017 at 6pm. Girls between the age group of 17-26 can apply, and the applicants must at least be a high school graduate.
