At the culmination of the sparkling gala night of Miss World Saint Lucia 2016 which took place on June 18’ 2016 at the Bay Gardens Hotel in the Bougainvillea Conference Room, La Toya Moffat was crowned as Miss World Saint Lucia 2016. La Toya Moffat will now represent Saint Lucia at the Miss World 2016 pageant.

The sparkiling coronation gala night started at 8pm sharp wherein these five striking finalists of Miss World St. Lucia - Tember Cadette, Alisa Alcindor, Latoya Moffat, Alarcia Duncan and Bebiana Mangal - competed to clinch the eminent title of Miss World Saint Lucia 2016.
The five stunning finalists competed through various segments, including charitable activities, evening gown competition, and personal interview. The proud winner La Toya impressed the panel of juries after showcasing her amazing talent on stage.
Latoya has studied Business Law and is a graduate of Hammersmith and West London School. Born in St. Lucia and brought up in London, Latoya is currently a part time Marketing Consultant based in Los Angeles. Latoya was adopted by her grandmother at an early age, and since then has been living with her. She has been instilled with the ideals of perseverance, principles, and values by her grandma. Latoya would like to use the Miss World St. Lucia 2016 platform to raise funds and bring awareness for her chosen charity “Raise your Voice St Lucia”, a feminist organisation that exist to promote the needs and rights of women and girls who have experienced sexual violence. At the same event, Bebiana Mangal was adjudged as the first runner up while Tember Cadette finished as the second runner up.
St. Lucia has made a comeback at the Miss World pageant after 6 years. The island nation last competed at the Miss World pageant in the year 2010.
