Speaking to the sources, Mhairi said “It was an honour to attend and present an award at the Young Epilepsy Champions Awards last night. Having the condition, I can relate to many of the stories shared, having epilepsy is not easy but it was clear to see that everyone in that room last night has faced their obstacles head on and doesn't let the condition define them.

Miss UK 2015 expressed her feeling saying: “I'm so proud to have been involved in this event and to have been able to present the Inspirational Bright Star award. I'm continuing to raise awareness of this condition throughout my reign and hopefully I can help break the stigma attached to epilepsy.
