Miss World Puerto Rico 2016, also known as Miss Mundo de Puerto Rico 2016, is on the road to the finale and is scheduled to be held on 18th March 2016, wherein Keysi Marie Vargas Vélez will crown her successor as Miss World Puerto Rico 2016.

29 finalists from all over Puerto Rico have been hand-picked from ten different modelling agencies. The winner of Miss Mundo Puerto Rico 2016 will represent Puerto Rico at the Miss World 2016 pageant.

The pageant finale, which is scheduled for 18th March 2016 will witness the crowning of Miss Mundo Puerto Rico 2016. In 2014 the 1st Runner-Up of Miss Mundo de Puerto Rico, Franceska Toro, competed at the Miss Earth 2014 pageant. However, in 2015 the Miss Mundo de Puerto Rico Organization opted not to renew its membership with the Miss Earth Organization.

Nevertheless, it is supposed that this year the Miss Earth Puerto Rico 2016 will also be crowned at Miss World Puerto Rico 2016 pageant.

Puerto Rico’s first and only win at the Miss World was when Wilnelia Merced Cruz won the title of Miss World in the year 1975. Ingrid Rivera, Miss Puerto Rico 2005 & Amanda Perez, Miss Puerto Rico 2011 both won 2nd Runner Up crown for Puerto Rico at Miss World.
