It’s the national pageant season and Mexico’s Nuestra Belleza Mexico is on its road to the finale. The finale is slated to be held on 12th March 2017 and at the conclusion of the finale, the reigning queen Kristal Silva from Tamaulipas will pass on her crown to her successor. The winner will represent Mexico at the Miss Universe 2017 pageant.

32 beauties are vying for the coveted title this year. The National Director of Nuestra Belleza Mexico, Lupita Jones, recently revealed that this year the contestants were given a surprise upon arrival. All the girls were asked to wash their face and show their natural beauty. With zero make-up, no false lashes and with nothing concealed, the girls were welcomed to the pageant. The reason behind this was to make the girls feel confident and secure in their natural form.
The concept of the pageant has been changed into more dynamic for the contestants to appear well before the public, with a strong project in hand. The contestants will now have to meet several challenges, which will prepare them more for the gala finale.
Lupita reveal, that of course it will be about beauty, but this year the pageant will also be about a representative who can inspire women and empower them in the course of life. The Organisation is looking for an ambassador who has a message to give to the youth and set an example for the country.

The Nuestra Belleza Mexico Organisation has already started the photo sessions and various activities, which will bring forth the expertise of the contestants. Nuestra Belleza México pageant organisation works in association with Televisa and is directed by the nation’s first Miss Universe titleholder, Lupita Jones (1991). The organisation has managed to produce one Miss Universe in the year 2010 and two Miss International winners for the year 2007 and 2009.
