The 20th edition of Puteri Indonesia pageant, will witness the battle amongst 39 contestants. Puteri Indonesia 2016 is on its road to the finale and will be the 20th edition of the pageant. The reigning Puteri Indonesia, Anindya Kusuma Putri will crown her successor at the conclusion of the event. There will be a total of 39 contestants who will represent the 34 provinces of Indonesia.

Lately, the 39 contestants who are vying to be next Puteri Indonesia were taken to an exquisite art exhibition where the ladies themselves took part in designing, creating and carving Indonesia’s arts at some handicrafts. The contestants graced together in Galeri Indonesia Kaya West Mall Grand Indonesia, MH Thamrin, Central Jakarta, whereby each of them acted as the ambassadors to promote cultural richness of their homeland to foreign countries.

Prior to the fun filled art exhibition tour, all the 39 finalists of Miss Indonesia 2016 were exposed to the closed door interview conducted by Poppy Amalia. In the interview, the contestants were told to share and talk about their life experiences. The contestants were also given an interactive session on public speaking skills which were also headed by Poppy Amalia.

This year, Puteri Indonesia is also having a Multimedia round at the pageant. The voting have already started on 10’ February 2016 and the contestants are being voted by the common audience across the Indonesia.

Indonesia has a good record in pageantry in recent years, and has placed at Miss Universe for three consecutive years, and has produced a runner up and Top 10 finalist at Miss Supranational and Miss International respectively. Do you think Indonesia can continue this success streak?
