Reinado Internacional del Tropico 2016 will be the 9th edition of Reinado Internacional del Tropico pageant, and will take place in the end of February 2016 in San Pedro Sula, Cortes, Honduras. At the end of this event, the outgoing queen Beverly Rodriguez from Puerto Rico will crown her successor as the next Reinado Internacional del Tropico 2016.

As of now, 19 countries are vying to win Reinado Internacional del Tropico 2016 crown, amongst whom are Belize, Bolivia, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Managua, Mexico, Nicaragua, Nicaragua USA Latina, Panama, Peru, Puerto Rico, USA and Venezuela.

This year there will be two runner ups and one main winner of the crown. But before the pageant concludes, the stunning crown contenders are showing their exuberant personalities through enticing photoshoots at Castillo De San Fernando De Omoa.

Reinado Internacional del Tropico 2016 also organized an online voting system for the Miss Internet which was eventually won by Miss Guatemala, Ingrid Analí Calderon Galindo. She won with a total of 1005 votes or likes and hence gets the title of Miss Internet with a majority of votes.

The TeleProgreso channel will broadcast the contest and will last two hours. It is rumored that the guest of honor for the coronation night will be the Dominican Miss World, Cinthia Nunez.

The first International Queen of the Tropics was the Brazilianm Kamila Alcamín, who was elected in 2007.
