Miss Universe Albania 2016 is all set to take place on June 2, 2016 in Albania. Megi Luka of Fushe Kruje will pass her crown and reign to her successor at the end of the event. Winner of Miss Universe Albania 2016  pageant will represent Albania at the forthcoming  Miss Universe 2016 pageant to be later this year.

Meanwhile, the Miss Universe Albania organization has revealed it’s 28 official candidates who will vie for the title of Miss Universe Albania 2016. The 28 official candidates are - Adea Mehmetaj, Arbenita Morina, Armela Hyseni, Artenisa Kola, Brixhilda Maka, Dolores Shkëmbi, Edona Ademaj, Emigrela Ahmetaj, Ëndrra Kovaci, Erlinda Deda, Eva Kume, Aurora Prendi, Fotini Elmazi, Kesjana Xhaja, Kosovare Neziri, Kristela Haxhiraj, Lidja Karazi, Lindita Idrizi, Manjola Gaxiri, Melisa Lleshi, Niki Bektashi, Petrula Vasku, Sara Gjordeni, Seli Visha, Trejsi Sejdini, Valentina Haci, Xheni Brahaj, and Xhoana Cara.

The reigning Miss Universe Albania, Megi Luka was the thirteenth (13) winner of Miss Universe Albania. The pageant was first held in the year 2002. Megi was the twelfth (12) Albanian representative at the coveted Miss Universe pageant. Megi Luka represented Albania as Miss Universe Albania at the Miss Universe 2015 pageant, but could not place.

The Miss Universe Albania Contest was born in the year 2006 in Tirana, Albania. The pageant was established to select a representative to compete at the Miss Universe.
