After announcing the representative for Miss Universe 2016 and Miss Earth 2016, Philippines is all set to announce its representative for the Miss World 2016 pageant. The official search for the Miss World Philippines 2016 contestants is about to start. The General Screening is scheduled to be held on August 18’ 2016 and the Final Screening will be held on August 23’ 2016. Both activities will be held at the B Hotel in Quezon City (14 Scout Rallos).

The winner of Miss World Philippines 2016 will be the official representative of Philippines at the Miss World 2016 pageant. This year the pageant is happening a wee bit early it seems. Earlier, the Miss World Philippines search used to take place around September with the finals scheduled for October. Given the fact that the search is commencing a bit early this time the finals might take place somewhere in September.

The pre-schedule finale of Miss World Philippines is a good idea as it will give ample amount of time for the winner to prepare for the mega Miss World challenge. Miss World 2016 pageant is scheduled to be held on December 20 in Washington, DC.

Last year, Hillarie Danielle Parungao was crowned as the Miss World Philippines 2015 at the finals held on October 18’ 2015. Miss World Philippines is an annual national beauty pageant held in the Philippines every year that selects the country’s representatives for the Miss World pageant.

Prior to the Miss World Philippines, the title was awarded by the Miss Republic of the Philippines pageant that continued from 1966 to 1976, then it was taken over by the Mutya ng Pilipinas (Pearl of the Philippines or Muse of the Philippines) Organization through Mutya ng Pilipinas pageant that goes on from 1977 to 1991.
