Miss Bikini Philippines 2015 is to be held tonight (May 21’ 2015) at Newport Performing Arts Theater of Resorts World Manila in Pasay City. The grand pageant is organized by Slimmers World International, the leader in Slimming, Health, Fitness and Beauty. Miss Bikini Philippines Pageant promotes the healthy, fit and beautiful lifestyle among Filipinos, focusing mainly on the young generation. Twenty nine (29) contestants vying from different provinces of Philippines were screened and then shortlisted to participate at the Miss Bikini Philippines 2015 pageant.

After the selection and during the prelims, the official candidates went through various personality development trainings and modeling workshops, including nutrition counseling and fitness/skin assessments. The contestants were revealed at an official press launch held on May 11’ 2015 at Diamond Ballroom, Diamond Hotel Philippines.

Stepping into its eighteenth (18th) edition, the Slimmers World International’s fitness-beauty competition prepared a strict screening process for evaluating the contestants’ “body symmetry,” “anatomical balance” and “the appearance of cellulite. It’s not just a health body that is being evaluated, but also the complexion and skin texture of the applicants are put through test. Reason being, the company employs the winners as its ambassadors, to push its advocacy of “fitness, health and beauty.”

The previous Miss Bikini Philippines winners have also competed and won other national pageants too - Princess Abella for Miss Resorts World, Angelee Claudette de los Reyes for Miss Philippines Earth, and reigning Binibining Pilipinas International Janicel Lubina. The applicants of Miss Bikini Philippines 2015 will be judged on the criteria - Figure of the Body, Beauty of the Face, Personality and Communication Skills. Based on the performances of the contestants in various preliminary competitions and events, the winners will be crowned. The winner will be titled Miss Bikini Philippines 2015 and will receive Php 300,000 worth of cash and prizes. The first runner-up will be awarded Php 200,000 worth of cash and prizes, similarly the second runner-up will win Php 150,000 worth of cash and prizes.

Miss Bikini Philippines 2014 Hazel Ortiz recalls the highs and lows of her reign and says, “I became a role model … my job was to encourage people to pursue an active lifestyle and embrace fitness. I had to live up to their expectations”. The grand coronation night of Miss Bikini Philippines 2015 will be hosted by Paolo Bediones and Issa Litton. At the end of the event Hazel Ortiz will pass on the crown and her reign to her successor.
