Stéfhanie Zanelli , of the city of Uba, was crowned Miss Minas Gerais 2015 on 15th July. The finals took place in the twentieth Domus Area, Canada in the Garden district of New Lima. This year, the winner received US $ 10,000 in cash and jewelery worth £ 50,000. The runner-up received £ 5000.
Miss Minas Gerais in 2015 was the 58th edition of the traditional female beauty contest that aimed to select, among several municipalities in the state, mining the best candidate for the Miss Brazil 2015 finals. The event is prism of beauty and social responsibility. With the participation of twenty candidates representing their respective municipalities the lawyer from Uba, Stéfhanie Zanelli won the title.
This year the mining coordination kept the format adopted in previous years and allowed candidates to sign up via internet. About 100 girls took part in the selective out of which only 20 candidates were able to compete in the grand final.
