Since 1959, Jamaican beauties have been participating in the Miss World pageant. Carole Joan Crawford, by winning the pageant in 1963, became not only the first Jamaican to win the title but also the first woman of colour ever to achieve the honour. The twenty year old, at just 5’3” is also the shortest woman to have won the title.

The twenty years old, 5’11” beauty, Ashlie, is a student at the University of West Indies and is also a part time model and an event planner. We wish both Ashlie and Jamaica all the best for the Miss World pageant in December this year.
