Miss USA 2016 pageant is on its road to the finale and is moving with all its vigour and verve. The winner of Miss USA 2016 will succeed Olivia Jordan, and will represent USA at the Miss Universe 2016 pageant. We all have gone through the finalists this year, and most of us must have selected our favourites already. But there are few who haven’t. Well good news for those who haven’t.

The Miss USA Organisation is trying to make the 2016 edition a little more exciting by introducing new format in the pageant. We are talking about the wild card entry format being introduced by the pageant this year. The Miss USA Organisation made the announcement on its official Facebook page,

“Do you have what it takes to compete on the 2016 Miss USA stage? The Miss USA competition will go on its first-ever nationwide search on social media for the next Miss USA. In addition to the 51 state contestants, we are looking for a 52nd contestant to take the stage at the 2016 Miss USA competition. ?#‎FindingMiss52 is made possible by Sherri Hill. Excited? We are excited too!! It is great news for not just fans, but also the aspiring beauties who always dreamt of being among the gorgeous finalists of Miss USA. The Miss USA pageant has given the right to public to decide the 52nd finalist for Miss USA 2016. There will be an online search for the aspirant to join the 51 contestants from all 50 states and the District of Columbia to compete at the finals on June 5’ 2016.

The aspiring candidates will have to post three photos or videos on Instagram and Twitter using the hashtag #FindingMiss52 and describe why they can be one of the contestants. A panel will then shortlist 10 finalists based on creativity, personality and a web interview. Fans can give their verdict on May 10 by voting on Twitter or at the Miss USA site.
