Miss Universo Portugal 2016 was held on 11th December 2016. The reigning queen Miss Universo Portugal 2015, Emília Araújo of Azores passed on her crown during the coronation gala to Flávia Joana Brito. The winner will represent at the Miss Universe 2016, scheduled to be held in Manila, Philippine, on 30th January in 2017.
