Harnaaz Sandhu of India was crowned Miss Universe 2021 on 12th December 2021 in Eilat, Israel. She succeeds Miss Universe 2020 Andrea Meza of Mexico. She is 21 years of age and hails from Chandigarh. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Public Administration and loves acting, dancing, swimming, and horse riding.
Harnaaz has always had a special connection with animals and is a fitness freak who likes swimming and yoga. Harnaaz won the crown for her country after 21 years breaking two decades long spell. Harnaaz has also been raising awareness about clefts in association with Smile Train India. Being the daughter of a successful doctor, Harnaaz calls her mother the biggest inspiration.
Also, at the end of the event finale, Miss Universe Paraguay 2021 Nadia Ferreira and Miss Universe South Africa 2021 Lalela Mswane were adjudged first and second runners-up respectively.
