Skylee Lawton was crowned Miss Earth New York 2020 and is representing the state of New York for the title of Miss Earth Unites States 2020. She works as a dance teacher and one days wishes to be the President of an international nonprofit organization. In order to decrease her carbon footprint, she uses public transportation, up-cycles materials, limits shopping habits and eats locally. While she has traveled to New Zealand, Mexico, Puerto Rico and other islands of the Caribbean, her favorite trip was to Australia, working as a public relations intern for FoodFaith, a nonprofit that creates social cohesion through sustainable food practices.
