Tania Verstak from Australia was crowned the third Miss International in the year 1962 during the conclusion of the finale that was held on 18th August 1962 in Long Island, United States. She was born in China to Russian parents and sons migrated to Australia where she worked as a model. Tania was also the first immigrant of Australia who won the title and changed the standards of acceptance of beauty queens in Australia.
