Mofya represented Zambia at the 2006 Miss Universe pageant, Miss Tourism Queen International pageant 2005 in China and the Miss Leisure World 2008 pageant in China. As per the reports, she was admitted with malaria in pregnancy and later discharged. However, Mofya was again brought into a dangerous condition. She died on the same night after giving birth to the baby.
