Ariella is an aspired Filipino-Arabian fashion model, beauty pageant titlist, actress and television presenter and talking about her academics, she obtained her Computer Engineering degree in the University of Mindanao in Davao City. She is not a fresher in beauty pageant world as earlier she participated in various local pageants, winning the title the Miss University of Mindanao and Miss Davao 2008 prior to her Binibining Pilipinas stints. Prior to Miss Universe 2014, she was placed as 2nd runner-up in Binibining Pilipinas 2011 and once again she entered and was placed under Top 12. Lastimosa appeared in Binibining Pilipinas 2014 and won the title of Miss Universe Philippines 2014 after her third attempt.
