Maria Margarita Moran is the second Filipina to win the coveted Miss Universe crown. Maria has been multi-awarded peace advocate for her efforts in Mindanao and is currently the President of Ballet Philippines. In her final question and answer round, Maria was intrigued, “If you had one million dollars what would you do with it?” to which the very altruistic lady replied: “I would buy a big house where I can live...(pause) with other people of course.” The judges and the audience unquestionably felt that her answer is from the bottom of her heart and the lady with a genuine love for others walked home with the worthy crown.
