Miss Universe Jamaica organization held the coronation night for the 2021 edition on 30th October 2021 at Riu Montego Bay. At the end of the event finale, Daena Soares was crowned Miss Universe Jamaica 2021 by her predecessor Miss Universe Jamaica 2020 Miqueal-Symone Williams.
Soares hails from Jamaica's Breadbasket Parish, St Elizabeth and recently completed her bachelors of basic medical sciences from The University of the West Indies.
The 22-year-old is an aesthetician by profession and loves to swim in her free time. Daena has collaborated with government and non-government organizations to mobilise and garner equal access of resources and opportunities for women. Currently, the focus of her advocacy is teenage pregnancy and period poverty.
