Nia Temple Sanchez is an American actress, model and taekwondo coach, who was crowned as Miss USA 2014. Sanchez is the first contestant from Nevada to be crowned Miss USA. She represented the USA in the Miss Universe 2014 competition and placed as 1st runner-up to Paulina Vega of Colombia. Sanchez' first-runner up placement at Miss Universe is the highest achievement of the USA since Olivia Culpo won the Miss Universe pageant in 2012.
