The second edition of Miss Universe Sierra Leone 2017 was held on 26th August 2017 at the prestigious Miatta Conference Hall in Freetown. It was a grand event where Adama Lakoh Kargbo was crowned as the Miss Universe Sierra Leone 2017. Adama Lakoh Kargbo who represented Bombali in the contest has become the successor of Hawa Kamara who was the first beauty queen from Sierra Leone to compete in Miss Universe beauty pageant.
At the same event, Abie Mansaray was crowned Miss International Sierra Leone 2017, Esther Williams was crowned Miss Earth Sierra Leone 2017 and Nyallay Sia Kamara was crowned Miss Tourism Queen Sierra Leone 2017.
Adama Lakoh Kargbo will represent Sierra Leone in Miss Universe 2017. She is the second beauty queen from Sierra Leone who has gotten the privilege to participate in the glorious Miss Universe pageant.
Miss Universe Sierra Leone is a national Beauty pageant that was founded in 2016 by Natasha Beckley. It has been under The International Ambassadors of Sierra Leone (I.AM.SL) pageant agency since the beginning. The main purpose of the organization of Miss Universe Sierra Leone is to promote local tourism in Sierra Leone and to expose young Sierra Leonean women to different cultures and nationalities.
