Albijona Muharremaj was crowned Miss Deutschland 2015 and will now be representing Germany at the Miss World 2015 pageant. The grand finale of Miss World 2015 will take place on December 19, 2015 at the Crown of Beauty Theatre in Sanya, China.
Albijona defeated 17 other contestants to clinch the title of Miss Deutschland 2015 which took place in Dortmund. All the contestants competed in casual and cocktail attires as the swimsuit segment was skipped in the finale after the official announcement. The announcement was made by Julia Morley, (CEO of Miss World) who also declared that the swimsuit segment will not be a part of judgement criteria anymore for deciding the winner.
The 20 year old beauty, is not new to the world of pageants and previously represented Kosovo in Miss Intercontinental 2014 pageant. The contestant from Thailand was declared as the winner.
Germany has two Miss World Winners till date - Petra Schürmann in 1956 and Gabriella Brum in 1980. Since then, no German woman has ever made it to the semis of Miss World, except for Susanna Marie Kobylinski in 2010.
