18 year old Alexandra Krijger has been appointed by Dushi-Magazine as the representative of Curacao to the 66th edition Miss World pageant to be held in Sanya, China this December.
Alexandra hailing from Willemstad was the third runner-up at the Miss Curacao World 2014. Her aunt Mary-Ann Ileana Statia Miss Curaçao 2001 is the only representative of her country who has placed in the top 20 of Miss World. Jozaine Marianella Wall, Miss World Curacao 2000, won the Continental Queen of Caribbean title, however was unplaced.
Alexandra always loved watching beauty pageants on television and wanted to step into the shoes of her aunt Jaqueline Krijger. Competing in beauty pageant is something that runs in her family. She loves doing charity work and working for the benefits of the downtrodden. The meaning of beauty for Alexandra Krijger is being beautiful from the inside reflects your beauty on the outside. “My biggest challenge is to trust more in myself and to know that I can speak perfectly and to do everything I want to.”
