Amélie Gigan was appointed first runner-up at the finale of Miss Elegance France 2021 which was held on 26th June 2021 in the town of Dax. It was the first time that a representative of Reunion has come so far in the ranking since its creation.
On 30th August 2021, she was officially appointed as Miss Earth France 2021, a title originally held by Guivarch, who was appointed as Miss Globe France 2021. Gigan succeeds Miss Earth France 2020 Léa Llorens.
Amélie Gigan is 21 years of age who hails originally from Saint-Pierre, Reunion, France. She speaks French, Spanish, Créole Rèunionnais and English fluently. Gigan attended the Universite de La Réunion in Saint-Denis, Reunion. The stunning beauty has studied human resources at ENACO, an online business school based in Hauts-de-France, France.
Miss Earth 2021, will be the 21st edition of the Miss Earth pageant. Lindsey Coffey of the United States will crown her successor at the end of the event finale. The official theme of the international pageant is 'Colors of the Earth'.
