The news of Binibining Pilipinas 2020 pageant undergoing a major revamp surfaced the beauty pageant world after the pictures of Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray and Binibining Pilipinas Grand International 2016 Nicole Cordoves surfaced the internet.

It is recently announced by the Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc (BPCI) chairperson Stella Araneta that Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray and Miss Grand International 2016 first runner-up Nicole Cordoves will be training the 2020 Binibining Pilipinas candidates.

In a statement released recently, Araneta stated, “We are delighted that Catriona and Nicole will provide online training and pageant prep classes to help this year's batch of 40 candidates and give each of them a winning chance. Being in a beauty pageant competition requires a lot of preparation and hard work. You must be confident about yourself, your poise, and personality regardless of the way others see you. Therefore, it is important to be fully prepared and fully trained."

Catriona Gray represented the Philippines at Miss Universe 2018 and was crowned as the winner at the end of the event finale. She is one of the most successful and loved Miss Universe queen and she has kept her charity work going post her reign along with focusing on her music career as well. Whereas Nicole Cordoves who represented the Philippines at Miss Grand International 2016 and was adjudged as the first runner-up at the end of the event finale has made her mark as a host and one of the judges of Its Showtime's Miss Q and A segment. She also co-hosted the pageant in 2018.

The queens share their pictures with similar captions; “Forever a Miss Philippines...forever a Binibini. Pageantry redefined,” a few weeks ago which speculated that the pageant was undergoing massive changes and the two divas would be involved in the process. Further details and online schedule of the pageant will be announced soon.

Binibining Pilipinas 2020, the 57th edition of Binibining Pilipinas, will be held at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, Philippines. The pageant will award four titles to Philippine representatives to four major international beauty pageants which are Binibining Pilipinas Supranational 2020, Binibining Pilipinas International 2020, Binibining Pilipinas Grand International 2020, Binibining Pilipinas Intercontinental 2020 and Binibining Pilipinas Globe 2020.

While the forty delegates competing for the crown have begun to prepare for their national stint, this year’s batch boasts of stunning beauties with a lot of experience. The organization has postponed indefinitely the Binibining Pilipinas 2020 beauty pageant due to COVID-19. The unfortunate news has come in after almost all the pageants are being postponed due to rampant spread of coronavirus all over the world.
