Binibining Pilipinas 2021 coronation night postponed to June due to covid-19 guidelines

Binibining Pilipinas organization took to their official social media as they announced that the 2021 edition has been postponed to 27th June 2021 amidst the ongoing covid-19 pandemic. The event was initially scheduled to be held on 17th April 2021.

In a statement posted on social media, Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc (BPCI) said that they are moving the event “to safeguard the welfare of our staff and candidates.”  They also wrote, “We will continue to comply with government guidelines. For now we will be holding virtual activities until they are able to stage pageant events. Thank you for your understanding and stay safe.”

 

 

Binibining Pilipinas organization holds the license to represent Philippines at Miss International, Miss Globe, Miss Grand International, and Miss Intercontinental. The 2020 edition’s postponement comes as Philippines has experienced a surge in COVID-19 cases as the government has loosened lockdown restrictions in Metro Manila, Bulacan, Rizal, Laguna, and Cavite.
