The Binibining Pilipinas organization is all set to host the 58th edition of the national pageant later this year as the search for the divas has officially begun and the applications have been open for aspiring delegates. The screening of the applicants will took place in the month of March, whereas the Opening salvo of the pageant will be a grand Flores de Mayo parade at Araneta City this May followed by other pre-pageant activities and charity events.

 As the nation is gearing up to meet the new queens, one name is definitely creating buzz as the famous ‘Hipon Girl’, Herlene Nicole Budol has officially confirmed her entry in the competition this year. She took to her social media to share and confirm her submission of application to join the Binibining Pilipinas 2022 to fulfill her long-time dream of joining the national pageant.

22 years-old Herlene is a Filipina comedian, actress and host of the Philippine variety game show Wowowin. Budol gained popularity when she joined the Wowowin segment ‘Willie of Fortune’. Willie Revillame decided to make her a regular host of his show because of her talent and funny jokes.

“I hope I pass the audition and you'll still support me as much as Hipon. I will give my best as long as someone believes in me. I want to be proud of myself and also want to have improvement on my own,” she shared.

The coronation ceremony for Binibining Pilipinas 2022 is set in July 2022 with four crowns at stake — Binibining Pilipinas International, Globe, Intercontinental, and Grand International. The organization has yet to confirm the addition of another Binibing Pilipinas crown.
