Miss Ecuador 2017 is moving towards the gala finale with 22 finalists competing for the coveted title. Amongst the list of the beautiful aspirants for Miss Ecuador 2017 are medical students, communicators, an agriculture engineer, the cabin head for an international airline and a flamenco dancer. At the finale scheduled to be held on April 22nd 2017, Ecuador's representatives for Miss Universe 2017, Miss International 2017, and Miss Supranational 2017 will be crowned.

The finale of Miss Ecuador 2017 is still a month away, but the organisation is moving in full swing with the contestants, preparing them for the coronation night by organising various events and activities. During one such event, the girls participated in the Bridal Parade. For the “bridal parade” event, the girls were dressed up as brides in the shades of either black or white. The costumes were designed by renowned Ecuadorian designer, Patricia de Klein, who is the official designer of Miss Ecuador Pageant. The organisation is also making sure to make the best preparation for the contestants. The organising committee took out time to select the best swimming costumes for the girls that the contestants will wear during the finale. From colours, to fabric, to texture, the committee made sure to pick the best for the girls.

In addition to attending the events and activities, the contestants are also working hard on their body by proper training and exercise. Although the competition is tough, all the girls are positive about their performance, and are ready to give their best to clinch the title. One of the finalists, Yalena Avilés Cercado, said that it is an honour to represent Vinces (Los Ríos) and would like to win the crown for her province. While Bianca Benavides, representative of Guayas (Guayaquil), said she is preparing to fulfil her dream of representing Ecuador.

Ecuador has never won any Miss Universe or Miss World title till date, though it won the Miss International crown once, when Maria Fernanda Cornejo was crowned Miss International 2011 at the finals of the international pageant held on November 6' 2011 in Chengdu, China.
