In just 24 hours Brazil will crown its new queen who will represent the country at the Miss World 2016 pageant. The 41 stunning finalists are gearing up to make it big at the pageant, and are leaving no stone unturned to mark their niche at the finals. From rehearsing to participating at various activities, and competing in various preliminary competitions, the delegates are doing it all.

During one such activities, the 41 contestants walked the ramp donning different colourful casual wears looking all gorgeous and pretty. The outfits were designed by Romenia Lez a Lez, while the contestants had the freedom to choose their own accessories. The performance of the delegates was judged by a panel of juries, and was open for the public to view. The Fashion Show was held at Plataforma Zero do shopping mart.

At the same event, Miss Goias Beatrice Fontoura was awarded the title of Miss New Face.

On June 21’ 2016 the 41 finalists of Miss Mundo Brasil 2016 attended a Charity Gala Dinner at the Resort Il Campanario. The first lady of Brazil Francine Mendes Souza also graced the gala night. The reigning Miss Mundo Brasil Catharina Choi Nunes also graced the event.

The reigning Miss Mundo Brasil is Catharina Choi Nunes. She was adjudged the first runner-up at the Miss World Brazil 2015 pageant where Ana Luisa Castro was crowned as the winner. However, Ana was dethroned because she was married to a Belgian model and actor, Tanguy Backer. Marriage is against the laws and regulations of the pageant organization. Catharina was then crowned as the new Miss Mundo Brasil 2016. At the finals of Miss Mundo Brasil 2016 to be held on June 25’ 2016, Catharina will crown one of the 41 finalists as her successor and will pass on her reign to the new queen.
