Femina Miss India 2022, the 58th edition of the national pageant, was held on 3rd July 2022 at the Jio World Convention Center, Mumbai where Sini Sadanand Shetty of Karnataka was crowned Miss India World 2022 at the end of the event finale.
Sini succeeds and was crowned by Miss India World 2021 Manasa Varanasi of Telangana. Along with her, Rajasthan's Rubal Shekhawat was adjudged Femina Miss India 2022 1st Runner Up, while Uttar Pradesh’s Shinata Chauhan was crowned Femina Miss India 2022 2nd Runner Up.
The national organization has yet again held another successful show with a multi star-studded performances from the biggies of the Indian film and fashion industry.
The process was conducted in two phases – virtually and on ground. While the restrictions due to the global pandemic were still prevalent, unlike the last edition, this year all 31 state winners made it to Mumbai to continue their journey to winning the coveted crown.
Femina Miss India 2022 mentor and former Miss India Neha Dhupia was also felicitated at the finale to celebrate her 20th crowning anniversary. Though the finale was hosted in a private ceremony, the night witnessed the attendance of the likes of Kriti Sanon, Lauren Gottlieb, and Ash Chandler who left the audience gripped. The finale show was hosted by Maniesh Paul.
The esteemed panel of judges for the evening included Femina Miss India 2022 mentor, actress, and former Miss India, Neha Dhupia; Actress, Malaika Arora; Singer, Choreographer, and Performing artist, Shiamak Davar; Actor, Dino Morea; Fashion Designers Rahul Khanna and Rohit Gandhi; and former Indian women’s team captain, Mithali Raj.
The contestants walked the ramp adorning gorgeous lehengas by Mohey and later changed into a resort wear collection by Abhishek Sharma. Last year winners Manasa Varanasi, Manika Sheokand, and Manya Singh walked the ramp for the final time with utmost grace and elegance before crowning their successors.
The grand finale telecast of Femina Miss India 2022 will be held on Sunday, 17th July at 12 pm and 5 pm on Colors HD (local time), the Exclusive Broadcast Partner.
