The finals of Miss Tahiti 2015 swirled in a beautiful coil of surprise. When Hinarere Taputu took her final walk as the Miss Tahiti 2014, little did she know that those were her first step towards the Miss World 2015 glorious stage. Hinarere Taputu was the first runner-up at the Miss France 2015 pageant held on December 6’ 2015.
At the finals of Miss Tahiti 2015 pageant, Miss France director Sylvie Tellier made the announcement, surprising the 5’9 tall Tahitian beauty. Camille Cerf, Miss Universe France 2014, present at the event honoured Hinarere with the sash of Miss World France 2015. Hinarere will now be representing France at the Miss World 2015 finals to be held on December 2015 in China. Hinarere’s sweet and delicate personality is perfect for the Miss World contest.
Tahiti has created some buzz in international pageants with its visibly stable performances. Miss Tahiti 2012 and the first runner up of Miss France 2013, Hinarani de Longeaux represented France at the Miss Universe 2013 and the first runner-up of Miss Tahiti 2014, Hereata Ellard landed among the top 16 finalist in the Miss Earth 2014 pageant.
At the finals of Miss Tahiti 2015, 18 year old Vaimiti Teiefitu was crowned as the winner, who will now represent Tahiti at the Miss France 2016 pageant to be held later this year. At the same event, Wayan Dedieu was adjudged First runner-up and will now represent Tahiti at the Miss Earth 2015 pageant. Océane Duchemin who was adjudged second runner-up will compete at the Miss Grand International 2015 pageant, to be held in Bangkok.
