Star & Mr. GS Hellas organisation, on the morning show yesterday, announced Katerina Kouvoutsaki as the new Miss Universe Greece 2021 who will now represent the country at Miss Universe 2021. Rafaela Plastira, who was the initial representative, withdrew her participation for the 70th edition of Miss Universe.

Katerina Kouvoutsaki was crowned Star GS Hellas 2021 at the finale held two days ago. Ideally, the winner of the national pageant represents Greece at Miss Earth. However, the director of the pageant, on the morning show, announced that they have acquired the franchise of Miss Universe and thus, will send Katerina as Greece’s delegate to Miss Universe.

Consequently, the first runner-up of Star GS Hellas 2021 will now represent Greece at Miss Earth 2022 as Star GS Hellas 2020 Katerina Pyschou will be representing Greece at Miss Earth 2021.

Katerina is yet to give an official statement regarding her win. The stunning beauty is a fashion model by profession who hails from Athens, Greece.

Katerina succeeds Miss Universe Greece 2018 Ioanna Bella who represented her country at Miss Universe 2018. The country did not send any representative to Miss Universe in 2019 and 2020. The country holds one Miss Universe crown under its belt when Corinna Tsopei was crowned Miss Universe 1964.

Congratulations!
