Miss Universe Philippines Organization, separating from the Binibining Pilipinas, is hosting its first edition of Miss Universe Philippines 2020 next year as the winner will represent her country in Miss Universe 2020.
While the contestants are yet to be announced, a very interesting post by Maria Ahtisa Manalo has caught everyone’s attention. The former Miss International Philippines represented her country in Miss International 2018 and with her stunning performance, she placed as the first runner-up. Ahtisa posted on her social media, “It's time to give it a go! Bring your dreams with you!” Now, its no wonder that the pageant fanatics wish that she participates in the new edition next year.
From Candelaria, Quezon, Ahtisa has proven to be a strong contender when it comes to international pageants. She graduated with a degree in Accountancy from the Manuel S Enverga University Foundation. At the Miss International 2018 pageant, Ahtisa was the youngest contestant participating in the pageant at just 20 years old. Her age did not slow her down as she won the first runner-up place.
Ahtisa made the statement shortly after Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. (BPCI) confirmed that it has lost the Miss Universe franchise in the Philippines. BPCI is the same group that sent Manalo as a representative to Miss International, as well as Catriona Gray to Miss Universe, last year.
