Yuridia del Carmen Durán Peña won the crown at the finale of Mexicana Universal Nayarit 2018 held on 15th December 2018 in the city of Ixtlán del Río. The beauty gave a stellar performance and left everyone in awe with her zest and grit. After this win, she will represent Nayarit in the national contest of Mexicana Universal 2019, in which the winner represents Mexico in Miss Universe pageant.
During the finale of Mexicana Universal Nayarit 2018, she won the model challenge and was the most voted candidate on social media. She was already the crowd’s favourite and rightfully so won the crown. The director of the contest Daniela Ortiz thanked each of the people who attended the event as well as the participants for being part of such a great night.
The Mexican beauty is 21-year-old and is originally from Ahuacatlán, Nayarit. This beauty with brains is a medical student and currently pursuing her studies in Dental Surgery. The provincial beauty queen is no stranger to the pageant world as she already held the title of Queen of Ahuacalán 2017 and Queen of the Nayarit Fair 2018. Her pageantry wins are undoubtedly going to uplift her spirits and enhance her confidence for Mexicana Universal 2019.

The brunette beauty has magnificent eyes and a radiant smile. She has a perfect hourglass figure and conducts herself with ease while presenting herself in front of people. The young beauty queen is also socially aware and identifies well with her role and responsibilities as the current reigning Mexicana Universal Nayarit 2018. She believes that children are the future of any society and it is indeed very crucial to provide them spaces which will lead to their growth of physical and mental wellbeing. The beauty queen signed a collaboration agreement with the Local Chamber of Deputies in favour of a project with the cause of the Civil Association Integral Life with Values.
The objective of this project is to offer spaces to children where they can learn and invest their time, as well as the realizations of camps to strengthen the bonds between parents and children starting in the municipality of Ahuacatlán. She advocated that this project will help children in their formation with values ?? so that they have a holistic development and realize their full potential. She further recognised the need to have more sports and cultural spaces to contribute something positive to society and to Nayarit children and youth.
