Melissa Flores, representing Michoacán, was crowned Mexicana Universal 2023 (Miss Universe Mexico 2023) at the finale of the national pageant held on Saturday, 2nd September 2023 at the Convention and Exhibition Center of Aguascalientes. Melissa will represent Mexico at Miss Universe 2023.

Melissa Flores is 25 years of age and a model and psychology graduate from Michoacán. She succeeds and was crowned by Mexicana Universal 2022 Irma Miranda. Melissa’s advocacy is #NoMeLimites (Don't Limit Me) which focuses on raising awareness for prevention and protection against courtship violence.

Not new to the pageantry, Melissa was previously crowned Miss Earth Mexico 2018 and went on to compete at Miss Earth 2018 in the Philippines where she placed in the Top 4 and was adjudged as Miss Earth Fire 2018.

Also at the finale, Valeria Villanueva of Colima was designated Mexicana Internacional 2023 and will now prepare to represent her country at Miss International next year.

Tania Estrada of Chihuahua was crowned Mexicana Charm 2023, Carolina Pérez of Sinaloa was crowned Mexicana Hispanoamericana 2023, and Xiadani Saucedo of Ciudad de México was crowned Mexicana Orb Internacional 2023.
