Miss America 2018 contestants arrived at Atlantic City on 30th August 2017. They received a hearty welcome from fans and passersby as they walked in their high heels and with a big smile on the Boardwalk followed by a ceremony held at Kennedy Plaza by Miss America Organization and Miss America 2017 Savvy Shields in the honour of the gorgeous contestants.

 Miss America Organization President Josh Randle shared his excitement for the Miss America 2018 pageant.

“This whole thing is going to fly right past us. It’s going to be a wild ride, but we can’t wait to see who the next Miss America is going to be.” He said.

The finalists were greeted by various eminent personalities including Mayor Don Guardian who was happy about the fact that the finale of Miss America is going to be held in Atlantic City yet again and is eagerly waiting to know who will be the next respected ambassador of the city.

“Everyone loves Miss America, whether you’re here for the parade, the pageant or anything in between. We adopt the winner of this pageant as one of our own, and we’re very proud to call her our ambassador.” Guardian said.

Other people present at the ceremony were Casino Reinvestment Development Authority Director Chris Howard, Miss America CEO Sam Haskell and former Miss New Jersey Lynn Weidner, who is the chairwoman of the board of directors for the Miss America Organization.

In the next few days, the contestants will attend various events and take up service projects in the city. They will also be interviewed for scholarships in accordance with their calibre. 

The talented finalists have been lined up for various rehearsals for the preliminary competitions and also for the “Show Us Your Shoe Parade” to be held on 9th September 2017 on the Atlantic City Boardwalk.

The grand finale of Miss America 2017 is going to be held on 10th September at Boardwalk Hall, Atlantic City in New Jersey where the fifty-one beautiful contestants will perform their best to win the much-desired crown.
