The Finalists Costa Rica organization, through their official social media, announced the appointment of Fabiola Calvo as the new Miss Asia Pacific Costa Rica 2024 who will now prepare to represent Costa Rica at Miss Asia Pacific International 2024.

Calvo is 28 years of age and a nurse by profession. She is the founder of ‘Nursing Care Givers’, a non-profit organization which focuses on the promotion and education of the physical, mental and emotional health of people in a state of social vulnerability.

“At Nursing Care Givers we are committed to improving the health and wellbeing of people at socially vulnerable situations. Nursing is a discipline and is the art that focuses on promoting health and preventing disease, and focuses on comprehensive care for individuals, families and communities. We believe nursing is one of the essential tools for creating more just and equitable societies, where everyone has access to quality healthcare”, Fabiola quoted.

Not new to the pageant world, Calvo competed at Miss Costa Rica 2016 and placed in the Top 10. In 2019, Fabiola held the title Miss America Latina Costa Rica 2019 and went on to compete in Miss America Latina 2019 where she placed in the Top 5. In 2023, Fabiola competed at Miss Costa Rica 2023 and placed in the Top 5.

A woman of faith, Fabiola is very passionate about social service and social work, as well as public health. With her strong advocacy, her stunning beauty and a strong personality, Fabiola Calvo will be a strong contender for the Miss Asia Pacific International 2024 crown. The international pageant was last held in 2019 where Spain's Chaiyenne Huisman won the crown.
