Miss Bonaire organization held the finale of the 2022 edition of the national pageant on 3rd December 2022 at the Marriott Bonaire Courtyard where Ruby Pouchet was crowned the new queen. Bonaire is all set to return to Miss Universe from the next year’s edition. While its not official yet, Ruby Pouchet will most probably represent Bonaire at Miss Universe 2023.

Ruby Pouchet is 26 years of age and represented her neighborhood of Playa Pariba at the competition. She wowed the public with her presentation in cultural speech, swimwear, evening gown and finale question. The newly crowned Miss Bonaire 2022 Ruby Pouchet’s court included –

1st Runner-up – Caroline Porras

2nd Runner-up – Michell Emerenciana

Ruby Pouchet is a graduate from The University in sales and marketing and speaks four languages fluently. Through her reign, she wishes to educate and break boundaries on the island of Bonaire with her sincerity and dedication. On winning the national crown, Ruby received a gift from Dabboussi Motors.

Bonaire last competed at Miss Universe from 1967 to 1999. Since 2010, the Netherlands proclaimed that Bonaire is a municipality of the Netherlands. If Miss Bonaire wins the Miss Nederland, she may compete at Miss Universe as Miss Universe Netherlands. Miss Universe Organization also confirmed that Bonaire will only be allowed to compete at Miss Nederland and will not go to Miss Universe anymore. However, the winner this year might get the chance to compete at Miss Universe next year.
