Audrey Monkam crowned Miss Cameroon 2020 for Miss World 2020

Miss Cameroun 2020 held its coronation night on 28th December 2019 in Yaounde where Audrey Nabila Monkam was crowned as Miss World Cameroon 2020. She succeeds Caroline Nseke Miss Cameroon 2019 as the new Miss Cameroun and will now represent Cameroon at the 70th edition of Miss World, i.e. Miss World 2020.

Audrey is 24 years of age and stands 180 cm tall. Hailing from Bali Nyonga in the North West region of Cameroon, the stunning beauty gave stunning performance at the national contest. As the winner, she received a cash price of 5 million cfa frs, a 4 wheel drive, a ticket of 1.5 million cfa frs offered by Ethiopian Airlines,among other gifts. Audrey also holds a degree in Banking and Finance from the University of Buea. The newly crowned queen’s court included –

First Runner-up – Marguerite Dieunie Kilama

Along with the winner and her court, Charline Stephanie Amougou, Adama Ruth Ule Ayanuru and Duchess Irene Kolle finished as the third, fourth and fifth runners-up respectively.

For her delegation at Miss World 2020, Audrey revealed her project in front of the Minister of Arts and Culture Pierre Ismael Bidoung Mkpwat, to create a vocational program where adults and youths will always sit and discuss to promote cultural diversity, multiculturalism, living together.

Last year, Cameroon withdrew from Miss World 2019 and did not send any representative. In 2018, Aimee Caroline Nseke represented Cameroon in Miss World 2018 but unfortunately failed to place in the Top 30. Cameroon is yet to pioneer its win in Miss World.
